MAPLYT

The Mentoring & Apprenticeship Program for Leading Young Tigers (MAPLYT) program was designed for young, aspiring, future agency executives, who are driven to have a career in agency leadership, including the opportunity to become the agency CEO. There exists within the insurance industry a near-void in third and fourth generations of ownership, for this reason MAPLYT was developed. The demanding program is a mutual commitment between APPEX, MarshBerry and a select number of apprentices, that provides:

  • Three years of intense learning, practicing and mentoring
  • Two additional years of continuing mentoring
  • Agency financial management
  • Agency operational management
  • Agency sales management
  • Agency leadership

MarshBerry only accepts those truly committed to this one-of-a-kind program. The primary instructor and mentor will be Larry Marsh, but also assisting with the curriculum with be other MarshBerry. consultants who are experts in the different areas of the course work. Individuals accepted into the program have to meet the following criteria:

  • Driven to participate in the program by their own initiative and very committed
  • A college graduate
  • Less than 10 years out of college
  • Employed 2 years in the insurance industry; 1 year in agency, minimum
  • Employed by a sponsoring APPEX agency
  • Actively engaged as an insurance producer
  • Pre-qualified via personal interview with Larry Marsh
