The third quarter continued along both tracks, with five domestic broker acquisitions identified through public announcements and reporting, alongside an agreed change of sponsor at PatrimOne. French buyers also pursued growth abroad. Ascentiel agreed to acquire an established Iberian consolidator, while PatrimOne\u2019s prospective investor committed to supporting further acquisitions and European expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-specialist-acquisitions-build-technical-depth\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specialist acquisitions build technical depth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">APRIL\u2019s acquisition of Alexis Assurances, announced on 31 August, is the first step in its planned specialty property and casualty (P&amp;C) division. Based near Lyon, Alexis serves more than 1,000 clients in renewable energy and construction, advising on liability, construction all risks and machinery breakdown cover throughout the project lifecycle. Its expertise includes photovoltaic and wind installations. The purchase adds a direct client business to APRIL\u2019s established wholesale operations. APRIL plans to develop the division through organic growth and acquisitions of complementary specialisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diot-Siaci\u2019s acquisition of NeoTech Assurances through LSN Assurances, announced on 3 July, strengthens an existing technology and cyber practice. Founded in 2011 with LSN\u2019s support, NeoTech specialises in digital businesses and cyber risks. Integration into Diot-Siaci\u2019s national technology practice is intended to expand its business with technology, artificial intelligence and innovation companies across the corporate and middle-market segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-direct-client-relationships-remain-an-acquisition-priority\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Direct client relationships remain an acquisition priority<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kereis continued its direct broking expansion following the Q2 acquisitions of Granier and Jadis. On 10 July, News Assurances Pro reported the completed acquisitions of Burgos Assurances, a commercial insurance broker based near Nantes, and LBA Courtage in Grenoble. The group\u2019s larger combination with Santiane progressed in parallel. The French Competition Authority authorised Kereis\u2019 acquisition of sole control on 17 July. Kereis announced completion after quarter-end, on 2 October, reporting combined revenue of \u20ac550 million and more than 2,000 employees across seven European countries. Santiane adds individual health and protection distribution, including remote sales. Management has identified a broader product offering and commercial cooperation between the businesses as priorities for integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finare Patrimoine, part of the Finare insurance group, acquired Sateco Assurance through Lumnis Gestion Priv\u00e9e in July. The Tours-based broker serves medical and paramedical professionals across health, protection, loan insurance and wealth management. Finare Patrimoine\u2019s fourth acquisition gives Lumnis its first presence outside \u00cele-de-France and an established client base in a defined professional segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-new-ownership-supports-european-acquisition-strategies\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">New ownership supports European acquisition strategies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adagia Partners announced an agreement on 10 September to acquire Weinberg Capital Partners\u2019 stake in PatrimOne alongside reinvesting management. Signed on 2 August, the agreement would introduce a new sponsor to a business already operating across several European markets. PatrimOne serves private clients, their businesses and the art market as both a broker and Managing General Agent (MGA). At announcement, PatrimOne placed more than \u20ac200 million in premiums, with Belgium and Switzerland accounting for nearly a third of its activity. Adagia plans to support organic growth, acquisitions and European expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ascentiel pursued European expansion through the acquisition of another consolidator. On 9 September, the Cobepa-backed group announced an agreement to acquire Concentra from BlackFin Capital Partners, following its July acquisition of Spanish broker PMQ. Ascentiel intends to use Concentra as its platform for further acquisitions in Spain and Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement projected combined Iberian revenue of approximately \u20ac62 million and around 370 employees. The proposed combination would give Ascentiel an established management team and operating business to lead further consolidation across both markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-outlook\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Outlook<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">French insurance distribution M&amp;A should remain active through year-end and into 2027. Specialist bolt-on acquisitions are likely to sustain deal flow as established groups pursue technical expertise, direct client access and regional expansion. The acquisition programmes announced during Q3 support a continued pipeline of targeted transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Larger platform combinations and sponsor transitions should continue alongside smaller acquisitions, with French groups also seeking growth elsewhere in Europe. Transaction timing will depend on valuation expectations, financing and buyers\u2019 capacity to integrate previous acquisitions.
