Juel is the Director of Risk Placement for FirstChoice, a MarshBerry company, where she leads an in-house brokerage team of experienced underwriters and agent support personnel.
As the risk placement specialist for FirstChoice, Juel is committed to helping agencies grow and thrive by helping them successfully place accounts and gain market access. She is skilled in helping agencies gain a competitive advantage by educating them on how to properly sell quotes distinguishing them from the competition.
History and Credentials
With over 30 years of experience within the insurance industry, Juel is well prepared in balancing the needs of agencies and policyholders. She has worked in a variety of underwriting and account management roles and is skilled in multiple areas within the industry including commercial lines, umbrella insurance and liability. She’s held roles at INA/Aetna as well as AllRisks Insurance Brokerage, a large Excess & Surplus writer, where she managed a book of brokerage business that also included coastal strategy. In addition, she was an account manager with W.R. Sims Agency, a small retail agency, where she serviced a commercial insurance book of business.
Accomplishments and Projects
Juel is on the Liberty Mutual advisory council and holds her CISR Designation a nationally recognized program for customer service representatives that empowers individuals to provide exceptional account management and customer service.
She also enjoys spending time with her family and grandson.
