In 1981, MarshBerry was founded on serving the unique needs of each client with customized, results- oriented valuation and M&A solutions. We believed that our unmatched capabilities in intellectual capital and data analytics would help our clients amplify their value creation. In 1984, we launched MarshBerry’s proprietary benchmarking platform and Agency Owner Publication, which provided intelligence on the best practices of independent insurance agencies and brokers. The next year, we started publishing our Perspectives for High Performance (PHP) report. Our PHP reports established us as a leader in analytics-backed strategic consulting for the insurance industry and remains a cornerstone of insight based advisory.

MarshBerry established its peer exchange networks in 1997, helping companies grow their businesses with invaluable industry learnings and shared accountability to out-perform the competition. Over the next fifteen years, we launched our Sales Management, Benefits, and Recruiting practices. MarshBerry also expanded its physical presence with new offices in California, Michigan, and Dallas. Continuing the emphasis on high quality analytics and publications, MarshBerry began publishing For The Record and Dealmakers Dialogue.

Since 2014, MarshBerry started two National Brokers and launched The Connect Platform. CounterPoint, a new publication that became an invaluable resource for owners of insurance agencies, was added. In addition to opening an office in New York, we established our first international branch in Amsterdam. Today, MarshBerry is a leader in the investment banking marketplace, ranking number one in total clients advised in S&P Global’s 2019 league tables. We continue to partner with a diverse group of clients helping them realize their full business potential.
