Collin Kooy joined MarshBerry in 2024 and currently serves as a Vice President. Collin supports insurance distribution and wealth management firms in achieving their acquisition goals by providing strategic guidance and conducting in-depth due diligence, including quality of earnings assessments, working capital evaluations, and risk analysis.
Prior to joining MarshBerry, Collin worked at CohnReznick and PwC in Chicago. In his roles, he focused on transaction advisory/quality of earnings engagements and executing buy and sell side financial due diligence for private equity and strategic clients. Clients were in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, distribution, health industries, and technology. He also worked as a finance director for a large, privately held automotive retail group and spent the initial years of his career in PwC’s assurance practice.
Collin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Hope College and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management. He also maintains a non-active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license in Michigan.
