Perpetuation Planning

Think MarshBerry. Think Forward.

Insurance & Wealth Management Firm Perpetuation Planning

Helping you amplify value creation for you and your stakeholders.

At some point, every insurance agency or broker considers perpetuation planning for their leadership, relationships, and ownership internally or selling their business.

Determining your path forward goes beyond the standard quantitative financial analysis. To prepare and execute effective agency perpetuation planning, MarshBerry Advisors really get to know you, your culture, your goals, and your objectives – your firm’s DNA.

  • Understanding the Current Market Environment
  • Financial Guidelines
  • Debt & Equity Capital Options
  • Sales Management
  • Legal Issues
  • Methods
  • Value Considerations

Several perpetuation planning solutions are considered and ultimately options that best fit your needs are recommended.

  • Minority Capital Partner
  • Majority Capital Partner
  • iCAP (Integrated Continuity Alignment Plan includes ESOP)
  • Formation of a Regional/National Firm
  • External Sale
  • Internal After-Tax Perpetuation

MarshBerry believes successful perpetuation planning for an independent insurance agency or wealth management firm is a continual process without a beginning or an end. It is an ongoing discipline to continuously build and maintain an operating environment that can enable the seamless transition when that time comes.
