
David Riley is a Vice President at MarshBerry, specializing in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and serving clients across the financial services sector, with experience spanning delegated authority, insurance distribution, and wealth management. He works closely with founders, family offices, and institutional investors to design and execute growth, capital, and liquidity strategies that align business objectives with sustainable value creation.
With deep expertise in mid-market M&A advisory, David guides clients through every stage of the deal lifecycle, from valuation and strategic positioning to structuring, capital raising, and completion. His experience includes sell-side and buy-side mandates, recapitalizations, management buyouts, and generational transitions.
Before joining MarshBerry, David held senior roles in mid-market investment banking and private equity. Earlier in his career, he founded and led a company from start-up through a management buyout and eventual sale to a private equity investor, giving him an operator’s perspective that informs his advisory approach and his ability to navigate complex ownership and liquidity events.
David earned his MBA and holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 registrations through MarshBerry Capital, LLC, the affiliated FINRA-registered broker-dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., LLC.
