Rob Hamilton joined MarshBerry in 2002 and currently serves as a Managing Director within the Financial Advisory division of the firm. Rob is a key contributor to MarshBerry’s merger and acquisition and consulting practices. He is a trusted partner for buyers and sellers who depend on his proficiency at deal negotiation, due diligence, deal execution and integration planning. His primary responsibilities include merger and acquisition valuation and analysis, due diligence, deal negotiation and integration planning.

In addition to his M&A responsibilities, Rob guides clients in the areas of strategic planning, internal perpetuation planning, insurance firm valuations, financial and organizational development, and compensation strategies. With his help, clients gain practical tools that boost their efforts to plan and implement strategies to increase their success and profitability. As a facilitator for MarshBerry’s executive peer exchange network, Connect, Rob encourages sharing best practices – experiencing first-hand how firms learn and improve by sharing with each other.

Prior to joining MarshBerry, Rob worked 13 years in the insurance industry and was the controller of a large bank-owned insurance agency in West Michigan. In addition to his financial and operational responsibilities at the bank-owned insurance agency, Rob was also involved in reviewing, implementing and integrating several agency acquisitions and assisted in the transition of other bank/insurance transactions.

Rob currently maintains the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE®) Exam in addition to the Series 62, 79 and 63 FINRA Registrations through MarshBerry Capital, LLC, the affiliated FINRA-registered Broker/Dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., LLC. Rob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University.
