Role
Scott is Senior Vice President of FirstChoice, a MarshBerry Company. In his role, he continues to build on the vision of establishing top talent and resources and partnering with members and insurance carriers that foster lifetime relationships.
Scott leads the Eastern half of the United States and helps member agencies drive significant revenue growth through coaching, training, marketing, aggregation, and accountable business planning.
Background
Scott’s diverse background in the industry has allowed him to work alongside captive and independent agencies for over 27 years. His roles in Claims, Claims Management, Catastrophe Management, Commercial & Personal Lines, Product, Underwriting, Financial Sales, Merger & Acquisitions, Customer Service and Sales Management allow him to create meaningful conversations around strategic planning, carrier partnership, and agency and people development.
Scott held a variety of roles with Nationwide Insurance. His final position with their company was a State Sales Leader and Agency Recruiter from 2005 to 2018 where he led exclusive and independent Nationwide Insurance agents throughout South Carolina and Georgia. In 2019, Scott joined FirstChoice as Vice President where he continues to leverage his industry insight to lead, motivate and drive excellence in people and teams across the country.
Accomplishments and Projects
Scott has earned numerous accomplishments including conference awards and National Sales Manager of the year Awards during his career at Nationwide. He holds his AIC, CLSC, CLTC designations along with his P&C and LA&H license. Scott is very active in his community with his church, Pi Kappa Alpha, and has a bachelor’s in Psychology from Francis Marion University with minors in Biology and Sociology.
Scott enjoys spending time with his family, playing competitive golf, exercising, and traveling.
